Tourism Organization of Loznica (TOGL) is a public institution, a local leader in innovative initiatives. Our partnership started five years ago with ambitous project, which quickly expanded itself in a long-term collaboration.
The process of making something unique requires reaserach and goal or a problem identification. In order to create an authentic products or visuals, I start with identifying values and key words.
To approach the complex task as rebranding the city is, we divided the work into several phases. The first phase was discovering unique values that the city has to offer and translating them into a visual language of brand guidelines. Together with TOGL CEO, we created a plan for positioning based on brand benefits and competitive advantages. Competitive analysts were critical for evolving and by identifying the strengths and weaknesses in the brand's competitive landscape, we managed to make wise decisions for future brand positioning. This resulted in innovation bringing in the field of graphic design for tourism, and in the past four years, TOGL has been rewarded dozen times in competitions for the best small publication, the best souvenir, the best-illustrated map and so on.
The logo is made out of a four different icons - pictograms, stylized visual elements used in the tour guides to mark the seeseights on the map. The idea with those icons is to represent four main touris attractions of Loznica: Koviljaca Wellness, Trsic vilage, Gucevo mountain and Drina river. Also, bright colors are used to display vivid variaty of the city of Loznica.
